Smoke alarm removed from home because it 'woke up pet cat'
If you read the title of this summary one might think: "that person is crazy". However, that person is not the only one with an odd excuse, for being one out of four not having a fire alarm installed in their house. Reasons mentioned were: "‘I don’t want a smoke alarm unless you’ve got one in pine to match the ceiling" and someone said "to stop the smoke getting to it" after he was asked why his alarm was hidden in a cupboard. These stories show that people don't see the importance of a decent smoke alarm in a decent place to protect their house, and also don't know where to place it. "There should be an alarm on the ceiling of every floor." Sir Ken Knight whp is the government’s chief fire and rescue adviser, said.

Just don't buy one
If you're going to keep it in a cupboard, or will only activate and take it with you if you're going outside for a smoke. I think you'll notice when your fag has lit. I think fire alarms are essential elements in a home, especially if you have kids. A person, when a house owner, is responsible for the safety in that house. A fire alarm can save your life, your children's lives and your neighbours as well, if they live under the same roof. I do understand that some people procrastinate purchasing one, but reasons like I just read for not having one or misusing one are just too ridiculous.
